DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI

Evening arrive at Delhi – Indira Gandhi International airport. 

On arrival meeting, assistance at airport by our representative and transfer to hotel. Where our executive will explain the travel plan in detail and hand over the essential documents (Tour programme, hotel’s vouchers, feedback report etc) to you. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 02: DELHI – SHIMLA (345 KMS/ 8.5 HRS)

After an early breakfast & check out from the hotel, drive to Shimla.

Shimla - The former summer capital of the British in India, and the present capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla has been blessed with all the natural bounties which one can think of. It has got a scenic location, it is surrounded by green hills with snow capped peaks. The spectacular cool hills accompanied by the structures made during the colonial era creates an aura which is very different from other hill.

On arrival check-in at hotel. Rest of the day free to relax at hotel / One can also explore mall road by their own. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 03: SHIMLA – ENJOY DAY TRIP TO KUFRI

After an early breakfast at hotel visit The Ridge - This place is an open space in the heart of town and offers outstanding views of the distant mountain ranges. The two prominent land Marchks of Shimla, the Neo -Gothic structure of Christ Church and the new Tudor Library building are the other attractions located here.

Later enjoy the excursion tour to Kufri. Kufri is a small hill station located 25 kms from Shimla. The name Kufri is derived from the word kufr meaning "lake" in the local language. The region around Shimla including Kufri was once a part of the Kingdom of Nepal until the area was ceded to the British Raj as part of the Sugauli Treaty. This region remained obscure from the rest of the world until the British 'discovered' it in 1819.

Later drive back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 04: SHIMLA – KULLU – MANALI (250 KMS/ 6 HRS)

After breakfast & checkout from the hotel drive to Manali.

Enroute visit Kullu - Located on the banks of river Beas (Vyaas), Kullu valley is also known as the Valley of Gods (Dev-Bhoomi) as it is the official home of the presiding deity of the area, Lord Raghunath Ji. During the festival of Dussehra every year, idols of gods from the neighboring towns and villages are brought to Kullu in procession to enable them to pay their respects to Lord Raghunath Ji. Kullu also mirrors the art and culture of Himachal Pradesh. Folk-Dance Festivals and Handicraft exposition are part of the town's annual fixtures.

Later continue drive to Manali. Manali – situated at an altitude of 1,950 m (6,398 ft) in the Beas River valley is an important hill station. The small town was the beginning of an ancient trade route to Ladakh and from there over the Karakora Pass on to Yarkand and Khotan in the Tarim Basin. Manali and the surrounding area is of great significance to Indian culture and heritage as it is said to be the home of the Saptarishi, or Seven Sages. Manali is also on the road to Ladakh via the valley of Lahaul and Spiti and Rohtang pass which is main attraction near Manali.

On arrival check-in at hotel. Rest of the evening free to relax at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 05: MANALI

Morning breakfast at hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the famous and important tourist destinations of this small town at your own. Overnight at hotel.


DAY 06: MANALI – CHANDIGARH (250 KMS / 6.5 HRS)

After breakfast & checkout from the hotel drive to Chandigarh. Chandigarh - one amongst the first and the best planned cities of India! Designed by Le Corbusier, a French architect, the city mesmerizes you with its simplicity. It was named after Goddess Chandi, the Goddess of Power, and is the shared capital of the states of Haryana and Punjab. Upon arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 07: CHANDIGARH – DELHI (250 KMS / 05 HRS)

After breakfast & checkout from the hotel visit Rock Garden - it is spread over an area of around 12 acres. Built by Nek Chand, the garden comprises of art objects that have been made from urban waste material. Sukhna Lake - the lake was created by building an artificial dam on a seasonal stream. Go for boating, relax in the restaurant situated there or just sit on the 2-km-long promenade and take in the beauty of nature.

Later in the afternoon drive back to Delhi. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 08: DELHI / AGRA / DELHI (APPROX 05 HOURS – 1 WAY)

After breakfast at hotel enjoy day trip to Agra & visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday) - world's greatest monument to love. Agra Fort, built by the Mughal dynasty's greatest Emperor, Akbar, in 1565.

Later driver back to Delhi. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 09: DELHI / DEPARTURE

After breakfast & checkout from the hotel enjoy city tour of New Delhi & old Delhi start from Red Fort  - from outside (Closed on Monday) -  built in red sandstone, Constructed by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, Jama Masjid - India's largest mosque. Rajghat - crimination place of Mahatama Gandhi.  Laxmi Narayan Temple, Lotus Temple and Qutab Minar - the highest stone tower in India. India Gate& War Museum - This solemn monument was built in memory of the 90,000 Indian soldiers who laid down their lives in the World War Ist. Drive past the Rashtrapathi Bhawan, Parliament House.

Later in time transfer to airport to board your homebound flight with the happy memory of our incredible nation.
